Attribution Guidelines
1. Scope
These Attribution Guidelines apply to any use, sharing, or redistribution of works published by Nafenzi Press and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
These Guidelines do not replace the license; rather, they specify the mandatory and proper manner of attribution.
2. Mandatory Attribution
Any use or redistribution must include full and complete attribution consisting of the following elements, without exception:
- Full title of the book.
- Author name(s).
- Publisher name: Nafenzi Press.
- Year of publication.
- Full license name: Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
- Official license URL: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/
- Official publisher source (URL): https://press.nafenzi.com/
Attribution must not be abbreviated, omitted, or replaced with alternative wording.
3. Attribution Format (Official Format)
Attribution must be written at a minimum in the following format:
Book Title – Author Name(s).
© Year of Publication Nafenzi Press.
Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
Official publisher source: https://press.nafenzi.com/
This format must be used on:
- Websites.
- Repositories.
- PDF files.
- Academic platforms.
- Social media (subject to reasonable space limitations).
4. Placement of Attribution
Attribution must be:
- Clearly visible.
- Not hidden or obscured.
- Not limited to hidden metadata only.
- Not masked by watermarks or overlays.
For PDF files:
- Attribution must appear at least on the front matter or copyright page.
- Placement in the page footer is strongly recommended.
5. Prohibited Practices
Attribution is invalid if it:
- Omits the name Nafenzi Press.
- Shortens the license to “CC” only.
- Replaces the license with alternative terms.
- Implies endorsement, affiliation, or approval by Nafenzi Press.
- Combines attribution with advertising or commercial promotion.
- Uses misleading or deceptive attribution statements.
6. No Endorsement Clause
Attribution must not imply that:
- Nafenzi Press,
- the author(s), or
- the editor(s)
endorse, approve, or are affiliated with the user or redistribution platform.
7. Language Requirement
Attribution must be provided in English or Indonesian. Any attribution in other languages requires prior written permission from the publisher.
8. Compliance and Enforcement
Failure to comply with these Attribution Guidelines constitutes a violation of the license and may result in:
- a request for correction,
- a takedown request, and/or
- legal action in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
9. Relation to Copyright Law
These Guidelines:
- are consistent with Indonesian Copyright Law (Law No. 28 of 2014),
- do not restrict lawful exceptions for education and research, and
- do not diminish the moral and economic rights of the publisher.
10. Official Statement
These Attribution Guidelines are issued by Nafenzi Press to ensure proper credit, legal clarity, and ethical reuse of its publications, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
