Authors must clearly disclose any prior publication, partial overlap, or reuse of content at the time of submission.
3. Acceptable Similarity
Nafenzi Press recognizes that some degree of similarity may occur, particularly in methods, terminology, or standard references.
However, excessive similarity that undermines the originality of the work is considered unacceptable, regardless of whether the source is cited.
4. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts submitted to Nafenzi Press may be subject to plagiarism detection screening using appropriate tools and editorial assessment.
Plagiarism checks may be conducted:
- At the initial editorial screening stage
- During the peer review process

5. Author Responsibilities
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that:
- Their manuscript is original and properly cited
- All sources, data, and references are accurately acknowledged
- Permissions are obtained for copyrighted materials
- Any reuse of previous work is transparently disclosed
Submission of a manuscript implies that the author confirms compliance with this Plagiarism Policy.
6. Editorial Assessment and Investigation
When potential plagiarism is detected, the editor will conduct a careful assessment of the similarity and context.
Depending on the severity and nature of the issue, the editor may:
- Request clarification or revision from the author
- Reject the manuscript prior to peer review
- Refer the case for further ethical investigation
7. Actions and Sanctions
Confirmed cases of plagiarism or serious self-plagiarism may result in:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript
- Retraction of a published work
- Publication of a correction or notice of misconduct
- Notification to the author’s affiliated institution
- Restriction on future submissions to Nafenzi Press
The severity of the sanction will correspond to the seriousness of the violation.
8. Post-Publication Plagiarism
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, Nafenzi Press will investigate the matter promptly and transparently.
Outcomes may include correction, retraction, or other appropriate actions in accordance with publishing best practices.
9. Right of Response
Authors will be given an opportunity to respond to allegations of plagiarism and to provide explanations or evidence where appropriate.
All investigations will be conducted fairly, objectively, and confidentially.
10. Relation to Copyright Law
This Plagiarism Policy operates in conjunction with applicable copyright laws and regulations, including Indonesian Copyright Law (Law No. 28 of 2014), and does not limit legal enforcement where applicable.
11. Policy Review and Updates

Any updates will be communicated transparently through official channels.
